I should have added this last night: the lights and so on on the top spire on the Claw are designed such that, when in use, it turns into a finial. (Here are a lot of finials for comparison.)

    Wow ! These multiple spires on All Saints College are amazing and dizzying. So obviously pointing to the heavens. I never even noticed the spire on the Claw.
