Get Up Off Your Knees: Preaching the U2 Catalog. It started back in 2004 with a book. We're still watching it happen.

The Pastor
A friend writes to let me know that during "Streets" at the Denver show we've referenced a lot here for its "UTEOTW" performance, Bono gave a shoutout to Eugene Peterson. I've just checked, and indeed his name is called as clear as day right before the "love, love, love"s. Nice.
Pretty cool. It seems almost as though he was about to say more, like, "Eugene Peterson is here tonight..." or something. But standing alone amidst the "love's" it still sounds appropriate to say that name!
"U2 Sermons" began as a blog tracking the experience of publishing the book "Get Up Off Your Knees: Preaching the U2 Catalog." It's continued as a place to observe the dialogue between U2's work and theology.
